NASA preparing to send Earth address to other galaxy for connect with Aliens

What if aliens living in the second galaxy get the address of Earth? What if apart from humans, other civilizations of the universe came to know?

Other similar questions can be answered, provided the answer comes from NASA sending Earth's address to another galaxy.

In fact, NASA is preparing to send messages to the other galaxy with the help of China's 500-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope and the SETI Institute's Allen Telescope Array in North California.

In this, a beam of coded binary will be sent to outer space, named 'Beacon the Galaxy'.

It will include important evidence related to our solar system, Earth's surface, humanity such as DNA samples and other information.

It will be touted as a possible home of extraterrestrial civilizations.

This message will end with an invitation to reply to the aliens.

In this, concepts from general mathematics and physics will be used for connectivity.

In space, a similar message was sent through a radio telescope in the year 1974 as well.

Scientists' concern

Anders Sandberg, Senior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, says that sharing such information can prove to be dangerous.

The chances of this message reaching the alien civilization are negligible. But, its negative effects can definitely come to the fore.

Even before this, other scientists including Stephen Hawking have expressed their concerns about the discovery of alien civilizations.

  1. Sending our address to aliens way out in the Universe, is probably no more dangerous to us than what is currently going on around the planet at present. We are our own worst enemy.

  2. I agree with Rodney Austin. Our planet is threatened by its current occupants.
